Mao act 1970

This query is with regards to the Maharastra Apartment Assoc Act 1970 (MAO Act 1970):

My question is that the association AGM was held on 29 Sept 2013 and the formation of New Managing Committee was held on 6 OCt 2013, well within the period allowed i.e. 10 days under the Act and the relevant Bye laws.

Is it legally necessary for a member to submit his/her  name/intention to join the New Managing Committee during the AGM or he/she can submit the name anytime before the New Managing Committee is legally elected in the first meeting i.e. before 6 Oct 2013??

Will appreciate a legally correct reply asap.

Shums.
