Are you doing any business?,
Generally, an advocate in India cannot personally engage in any business while practicing law.
However, they can be a sleeping partner in a firm, with certain restrictions, and can also engage in certain types of businesses like legal consultancy or educational ventures.
Is your GST relkated to any business other than the ones mentioned above?
if you have closed your business, you can very well get enrolled as an advocate in the bar council if you satisfy the conditions of the bar council for enrolment

Maintaining a GST account is no bar for enrollment as an advocate, however, you should not be engaged in any other business, profession or service.
Apply for enrollment in the Bar Council, get, set and go.
Best of luck.

Sir, Thank you so much for your prompt response.
I sold some home made products in Amazon and some other ecommerce websites for my educational expenses. For ecommerc trade GST is must. That so i took GST. Now i closed the business and applied for GST cancellation.

Having GST on your name is not a bar to get yourself enrolled as an advocate in the bar council of TNP bar council.
There is no necessity to cancel the GST until and unless you don't do any buiness during practice of law.

As you have stopped your business, you can enrol in the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

e-commerce is not part of business, it's a part time work which do not have any legal complicacy qua getting enrolled as an Advocate.
