hi everyone,
i have shop in mumbai, the area is 400sq.ft., and the land lord has not taken the rent since 9yrs and now he has sent the bill of 8 lacs. and he has charged very high maintenance charges which he has increased every year by 25%. and he has even charged 18% interest on the whole amount kindly guide me how can i fight againt the land lord for charging such high rates.

You need send a legal notice through advocate to the land lord for disputing its action. otherwise there is a possibility that the land lord shall file eviction suit against you for vacating the shop as you haven't paid the dues to the land lord for last 9 years.
