If there is lock in period of seven years in the agreement. The clauses in agreement clearly mentions about it. Lessee left the premises before the completion of the lock in period. Can lessor ask for the rent for the remaining lock in period? If yes, then it should be considered as "debt" or penalty or liquidated damages? Please help me out with the relevant laws and case laws.
