We shifted to Maharashtra due to my father's job and could not keep track of the land except for a visit in 2003. Now when we came back, we approached faridabad tehsil and then the patwari (5 patwaris have been posted since our purchase)... He told us that due to frauds in land sale in the area, DM had ordered verifications and re-work of some kind. His record book showed a scrible 'Canceled' without any mention of date. He says that the land does not belong to us anymore and DM has canceled it
What is the procedure to know the actual position and claim our land?? Please help
