The agent of pnb metlife gave me the low return policy- forged my signature on the document

Dear All, I was working at Bank of india, where i was having NPS Account . So After leaving my job i opted on the online NPS-CRA Portal to select annuity company ,Pnb Metlife. So according to the rule 20% of the total amount was withdrawn as lump sum and 80 % was invested in Annuity plan. It started in may 2025. So the pnb metlife agent of my Life Annuity with return of Purchase Price told me that my annuity plan does not have return of purchase price to nominee , so please sign a (pre written)format in which it was written that i have opted for life annuity without ROP (return of purchase) and please change it to Life annuity with ROP. I Signed the document and send to him. This plan was option number (2) Now after one year i realise that there was another option(6) in which Annuity payable increases at a rate of 3%, compounded per annum throughout life of annuitant, with return of purchase price. So this means i will receive Rs 2587 constant amount my lifetime because the agent never told me about other option. if i would opted for Annuity payable increasing at a rate of 3%, it would have increased to 2600,2700 per month after 1 -3 years and so on. Moreover on the policy document the agent has forged my signature , which is not mine and place is mentioned delhi and i was not in delhi. So what can i do in this case of Mis-selling

Quick Summary
A customer claims a PNB MetLife agent mis-sold an annuity policy, forging their signature and failing to disclose a better option with increasing payouts. The customer opted for a fixed annuity with return of purchase price, unaware of a superior plan offering a 3% annual increase. They are seeking advice on how to proceed against the agent for alleged cheating and misrepresentation.

Register FIR against the agent for cheating.

Also file suit for damages in civil court.

May be you have made a wrong choice. However, no cause of action lies in as much as it is alost impossible to prove that there is any element of mirepresentation or dishonesty.

You have signed the papers for the policy that you have been given now, hence claiming innocence of other policies at this stage especially finding that the other option would have been more beneficial at this stage will not fetch you any relief because it was you who opted for the current scheme.

Dr. J C Vashista (Advocate )     19 September 2026

At this stage you cannot revert to take benefit of your own decision, which you found beneficial when you agreed to the proposal.
