need to register under Society Registration Act.  Which state u r from. If u r from Mumbai, than u need to go to Charity Commissioner  Any seven or more persons associated for any literary, scientific, or charitable purpose, or for any such purpose , may, by subscribing their names to a memorandum of association, and filing the same with Registrar, form themself into society.

Myself and my friends willing to start an organisation in tamilnadu which helps school students to show out thier talents . We are planning to conduct the Events such as Drawing competiton , Speech competition , Science Exhibition etc... and honour them with some Cash prices or rewards and certificates. we may get some minimum fees as registration for the participants. Please guide me where I need to register and how to start with.

Hi,

I am planning to start a social organization with some friends. I want to register the organization. Currently living in Chandigarh. As we are from IT field, we will plan some lectures in school and colleges and if our name is registered then it will help us in getting the approval easily.Apart from that visiting any orphanage or child home or old age home is easy without any reghistration and we are doing the same at our end currently. 

Can anyone please help?
