Court ordered to serve copy of Replication to Defendant through email and whatapp. Sent the copy of replication to defendant on the defendat's email and mobile as mentioned in the order through counsel. Do we need to submit affidavit of service in the court, if yes then this affidavit need to be by the plaintiff or the plaintiff's counsel.

Thanks for the response. The order is silent about filing affidavit of service. Do we still need to file the affidavit of service. The replication is sent through counsel. Affidavit need to be filed by counsel or plaintiff.

Filing of affiavit of service is in your interest to convince the court that you have obeyed the court order as well as by serving the copy to the defendant.
The affidavit of service is a sworn statement, meaning the person signing it understands they are making a truthful statement under penalty of perjury.

Why would you submit Affidavit, there is no such direction in the order.
