Under the Special Marriage Act, 1954, "degrees of prohibited relationship" are defined as relationships between a man and any of the persons listed in Part I of the First Schedule, and between a woman and any of the persons listed in Part II of the same Schedule

This means that certain relatives, including those by full blood, half blood, uterine blood, and even those related by adoption, are prohibited from marrying each other.

If your relationship does not ind a  place in either of the schedules referred above, you may proceed wiht the proposed marriage provided you both are of marriageable age as legally permitted.

Better avoid this marriage as children born out of such marriage are mostly abnormal physically and mentally. Choice is yours.

It is a prohibited marriage.

Which religion both of you profess i.e., Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh or any other despite the fact it is inapplicable under the provisions of Special Marriage Act, 1954 to ascertain whether such marriage is prohibited under Schedule I or II of the Act?

Is this relation prohibited under the provisions personal law applicble?

Under Special Marriage Act?

You are the better judge to analyse the facts and proceed if you are convinced about the law involved in this and that would not fetch you any harm

We are no one to comment upon your personal decision except to analyse circumstances posted and oblige you from legal as well as social point of view.
