General power of attorney

I am having a peculiar situation for one of my client as detailed below:

1. Our client Mr A is a NRI. He wants to give Power of Attorney to his wife say Mrs B (who is also a NRI)

2. He is intending to do this so as to buy or sell any property in India through Mrs B.

3. However he always wants to take a POA from Mrs B in his name. (i.e. Mrs B gives a Power of  Attorney to Mr A) for the purpose of buying or selling any property through Mr A.

4. He is intending to do this only to have a situation where anyone person can buy or sell in the joint name of both.

Is this arrangement right? Are there any legal impediments. Is this document required to be registered?
