Entitlement to companssionatory Job

Hi All,

As per a recent judjement even 2nd wife is entitled to compassionate job. But, I would like to know as to apart from them who is entitled to such appointments and at what position.

What circumstances are considered while providing such appointment.

I think the provisions regarding it differs state to state and department to department.

Dear Palak,

Kindly refer to the judgement of Hon'ble High Court of Delhi in the matter off Shanti Devi vs DVB on the ground of appointment on compassionate ground (wherein the emphasis was who comes within the category of dependent ones) secondly lately the Courts are also taking in account the monetary benefits accruing to the dependent family member of an employee after his death during his employment while considering the question of appointment on compassionate ground. In central govt. the widow or son,daughter in case of married person, if he is unmarried than his sister or brother who cares the family after the death of employee.
