I am selling my products on e-commerce website since 1 year.
I received one e-mail from e-commerce website mentioning about penalty for the fraud done by me. Fraud mentioned is creation of multiple account by merchant (i.e. me). The penalty they charged me very huge(around 10 times the the sales I made in the last 1 year or 100 times the total MRP of the product).
At the time registration with the e-commerce website, they sent me an agreement in word file.
Foolwoing points to be noted about agreement ;-
1. This agreement is not signed by any of the party.
2. They sent me this document in word format via mail.
3. No where it is written that I am accepting these terms or I have to accept these terms.
4. My firm name is also not mentioned in the agreement.
Please suggest me about the validity of this agreement.
Is there a limit on the panelty charged and where it written? I think limit of penalty should be mentioned in some document and if I ask for that agreement, the company should provide me.
