Documents required for purchasing agricultural land

I am planning to buy an agricultural land in Cheyyur. The owner is selling a portion of his agricultural land to us. since he is selling a portion of his land, how to ask for mother document from seller. Also, Kindly let me know the documents to be asked from the seller for agricultural land in tamilnadu.
