Divorce help!

Hi I got married to a hindu girl under hindu marriage act in india. It's been 9 months. We both are currently residing in USA. After a lot of fights we both kinda mutually agree that divorce is our only option. After googling for a while, I kinda came to know that we have to be married atleast for 1 year to get a mutual consent divorce. Is it the same in USA as well? If we get a divorce here now in USA, will it be valid in India if I submit the US divorce papers after we cross the 1 year time limit?

yes the usa divorce is valid in india but small home work has to be done again means you have to file a petition in india with the usa divorce papers and get a order in india and the process will be very easy

So my wife and I have to wait for that 1 year to be done? and do we have to be in India while submitting the usa divorce papers? Or can it done while we are here in usa?

To get legaly divorced according to Indian law you have to come and submit the US divorce decree along with the petition of divorce in India to get order.

If we submit the US divorce decree when we apply for divorce in India, do we still have to go through the 6 month cool off period to get the order?
