Custody of children

My son has filed an application under section 6 of the Hindu Minority & Gaurdianship Act 1956 inthe court of D J Nagpur Mah., which has been transferred to D.J. Bilaspur (c.g.) . I want to know that whether a court can pass an order for the temporary custody of children for father? What will be the procedure ?
