Change of name in 10th class and 12th class certificates

Sir,

I am student studying in engg. college I want change my surname in 10th class and 12th class certificate (Maharashtra State Board) . I want to ask, do they allow it ? My surname is correctly written on Date of Birth (DoB) certificate but some how due to mistake of school authorites or my carelessness It got changed , Now I want to change the surname in 10th and 12th class as per my DoB certificate.

What are the step I need to take ?

File an affidavit before the college authroties. If they agreed itz ok, if not, then you will have to file a suit for declaration and injunction by giving 60 days time to Dist., commissioner and Deputy Director of Public Instructions of your dist., to rectify the mistake.
