In Maharashtra State, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation is has leveid CESS Tax in Navi Mumbai.
They have asked vendors to get themselves registered. Some vendors who went for registrarion were not given registration numbers and were told come with their returns since inception of the company.
The CESS authorities are asking to file 10 -15 years old IT returns. are they justified?? under what provision of law can they ask for P&L & B&L Accounts pertaining to last 10-15 years???
what does the law permit??
