I am selling my apartment, which I had bought from a builder, to a buyer who is availing a loan. I have provided him all the documents , however he says the bank is asking for Chain Title Deeds, as in Deeds through which the Builder purchased the land for development and all the deeds before that from all the previous owners. Are these documents necessary to acquire loan ? Should I ask the builder from whom I purchased the flat to give me these documents? Should I collect originals from builder or will he provide xerox?
