Advice on defamation case

I visit gym regularly and one of the member in the gym have by large spoken ill things about my character by shouting lodly to other members in the gym prwmise. Can I file a defamation case against the gym management cause they allowed that member to bad mouth me and also the member.can I sue both of them. Kindly advise. URGENT
