In a recent    Land mark judgementby the Bombay Highcourt,j Magthre of Hinghour Bombay delviered his udgment  hodling that  an  married daughter is  legally entitled to get the job of her  father on compasionate ground.

The hon justice has observed  in the modern world it cannot be acepted that afaer marriage a lady is deemed to have severed her relation with her parental house.  There fore an maarried daughter is also entitled to get the job on compasisonae ground  on the same footing as unmaaried daughter and son.

The case involved the inerpretation of validty of  Rules of Maharasthtra civils service which povided that on the death/voluntary retirement of a government employee his spouse or son or unamarried daughters alone are eligible to get the job on compassionate ground.
