I did not get reply from PIO within mandated 30 days .I filed an appeal with Municipal Commissioner for deemed refusal of Information after 45 days from date of sending RTI application.

At the time of filing of RTI Rs 10/- is for application.

What ever the document you require they most give you the Xerox copy but you have to pay the money for Xerox copy.

Rs.78 is minor amount, As per rule rs.2 for a4 And rs.3 for a3. Ask them for first to inspection Of documents, if u see correct Papers then just pay it. Specialist in RTI. Feel free to ask rti query.

It will be nice if you specifiy WHETHER THE RTI INVOLVES YOUR MATTER OR PUBLIC CAUSE?

                                         -------------xxxxxxxxxx---------------

RTIs are of different types. There should be a distinction between those that involve personal causes & those that are posed on public causes. The latter category of RTIs mainly aim at: Ushering in accountability, probing corruption, suggestions by way of thought proking questions etc.

AS IT IS THE PERSON INVESTS SO MUCH OF HIS/HER RESOURCES ON THE RTI, THE PIO/FA THEN DECIDES ON PERSONAL HEARING ETC. THESE INVOLVE MORE EXPENSES. WHY TAX HIM/HER EVEN MORE?

THUS, THE LATTER SORTS OF RTIs BE SERVICED AT NILL OR V.V. LESS ADDIONAL COSTS (If inevitable). CDs, Emails etc be explored in such cases. A CLEAR GUIDELINE IS THE NEED OF THE HOUR. TRANSPARENCY, ACCOUNTABILITY, PROBITY, FAIRNESS IN ALL THAT IS DONE IN THE PUBLIC AUTHORITIES BE ENCOURAGED.
