Probate requirements

Has the Indian sucession act, section 213 been ammended in 2002 or otherwise.

I need to know if a probatwe is necessary.

i hv a property in Mumbia suburbs inherited from my father who passed away in jan2009.

I have the copy of the act. Would appreciate any reference to the ammendent of transcripot thereof.
