Change in child's father's name and surname

hi,

My wife has filed for divorce from me and has gone ahead and got our daughter admitted in school mentioning her own father's name as the name of our daughter and using her maiden surname without informing me.

What recourse is available to me ?

Regards,

Sunil Yadav

who's name in the birth certificate and how come the school authroities entered the name of the father of your wife without going thru., the birth certificate?

Thanks for your prompt reply.

The Birth certificate has my name as father and the child has been admitted to a high profile school.

Is it possible that my father-in-law adopted my daughter , issued a notification through gazatte and using that as the document for obtaining admission in school ?

. File an application under Special relief Act to get the name changed as per Birth certificate records. You are her natural father. Adoption even if done is not valid under eyes of Law as natural father is still alive and no consent given !

Hi ,

Can approach my child's school to inquire based on which documents have they registered the father's name incorrect ?

I have come to know that the space mentioning father's name in my daughter's school record is kept blank and only my wife's name in mentioned.

Can the school authority right in doing such a thing ?

Can the wife claim Maintenance for the child eventhough she refuses to put husband's name as father's name in school record of the child ?
