Will the hon’ble ap high court accept written arguments at the final hearing stage of an appeal?

I've come across differing opinion online, some suggest they may not be allowed, while others indicate they might be. I would greatly appreciate the insights of the learned members here on this matter. Thank you in advance for your guidance.

It depends, generally the AP high courts do not entertain written arguments in the appeal cases.

The acceptance of written arguments at the final hearing stage of an appeal in the Hon'ble AP High Court is a matter of discretion and depends on the specific circumstances of the case. While there is no strict rule prohibiting written arguments at this stage, the court typically expects oral arguments to be presented during the final hearing. However, in certain situations, the court may consider written arguments, such as: 1. Complex cases: If the case involves complex legal or factual issues, the court may accept written arguments to ensure that all aspects are thoroughly addressed. 2. Time constraints: If the oral arguments are likely to take a significant amount of time, the court may accept written arguments to streamline the hearing process. 3. Additional submissions: If a party needs to bring additional information or authorities to the court's attention, written arguments might be accepted. To increase the likelihood of the court accepting written arguments, it's essential to: 1. Seek permission: Request the court's permission to submit written arguments in advance. 2. Follow court rules: Adhere to the court's rules and guidelines for submitting written arguments. 3. Keep it concise: Ensure that the written arguments are brief and to the point, focusing on key issues.
