Troublesome CNG Stataions

The placing of CNG stations in cities like Delhi is a live example of misgovernance of Govt.

Vehicles queuing for taking CNG create a very troubling view. They come from all directions to the CNG stations obstructing the flow of the traffic , becoming reason of accidents. I wonder even traffic police does not challan the vehicles coming from the opposite side of the traffic and queuing just opposite to the flow of the traffic.

I feel that this situation could be avoided very easyily if the CNG stations were given some more space, I have seen inspite of open Govt. land around these CNG stations, they are given very limited space.None before sanctioning them the space thought that from which direction the vehicles will come for CNG  and where is space for them halting in queues and what will happen to the flow of the traffic?

Very Sad and Very Bad.

Please suggest if there is some remedy to reform this situation and what steps Govt. should take to reform this patehtic situation?

Dear Tusharji,

I appreciate your concern and would like to add this :

1.  The major problem is segregation of vehicles could be a good suggestion meaning there are two major kind of vehicle which use CNG commercial (private/school buses, tempo three wheelers) and cars.

2.  My suggestion is that there should be more pumps in the vicinity of government offices for those who use cars.

3.  There should be segregation of pumps for commercial and non commercial vehicles.  Even RWA's, Societies can be roped in for trouble free disbursal of CNG.

4.   Last but not least instead of choking the ring road or other heavily frequented places let there be a policy at place involving police, transport department etc. so as to avoid day to day problem to common citizen.

Best Regards

Daksh

I agree with Daksh, segregation of vehicles is must. Ring road CNG stations should be only for light vehicles. But at Delhi everyone follows their own rule.
