I am a Tribal from Chattisgarh based in Mumbai and wanting to buy a Tribal Land in Maharashtra or to be specific in Raigad district.
Does the rule favour individuals like me who are Tribals and want to purchase Tribal Land in other state..?
Regards

Findout from concerned District Magistrate office//Talukdar, yoou can purchase.
Advocate Ravinder (Advocate/Attorney) 26 April 2014
Though you are tribal you cannot purchase lands belongs to Tribals. The local government grants some schemes from time to time for the welfare of the tribals. The houses or plots are meant for their own use and not to be sold to third parties.
You can apply to the Government for sanctioning one of such property to yourself. After confirming that you are tribal and economically backward, the govt will sanction the property to you.
Anyway go and enquire in the collector office as advised by Vashista sir.

As above experts opined, you may enquire about the conditions either from the District social welfare department or from the District/Tehsil land/revenue department for further clarification.
