Taxation benefits to exporters

Dear Sir / Madam ;

Greetings of the day....

We introduce ourselves as a Merchant exporter i.e Trader of all types of Engg & Industrial Goods to our overseas clients.

We have a querry related to Income Tax Notifications exemption in INDIA for companies who are exporting to overseas country & bringing Foreign Exchange currency to INDIA.

We are presently availing "Duty Drawback" as an Export Incentive against our Exports  should these amount be taxable.

Hence request you to please clarify what kind of "Income tax rebate or relief" can we get in regard to our Income Tax Returns.

Hope to receive your valuable feedback or suggestion regarding our above raised question at the earliest.

Thanks & Regards ;

Sameer Sultania

There are tax benefits only for exporters operating out of SEZ's. The Income tax is calculated under 115JB of the Income Tax Act and chargeable @18.5%. This provision is applicable from 01.04.2012 (F.Y: 2011-12). Apart from that as on date there are no other rebates or exemptions.
