Filing of recovery suit ? place of jurisdiction

A friend in distribution of building materials resides in Kochi and the registered seller at Morbi in Gujarat.

It's a MSME registered firm and he needs to file recovery suits against defaulting buyers in Kerala and other states in India.

Kindly guide if the proposed recovery suits can be filed in Koch or it has to be filed in Morbi In Gujarat?
