Suggestion required

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am staying ina rented apartment. It is a landlord property, we have been staying in the property for more than 30 years,

The room was in the name of my aunt.

My aunt died in 1998 and my uncle died in 1993.

We have not transferred the rent receipt in our name.

Our aunt / uncle did not had any child of their own.

in such situation I want to know whether we can become the tenant  of the said room or it could be taken by landlord ??

please help our building is going for redevelopment.

Thanks and regards.,

Rajesh

Assuming that you are the surviving legal heir of your aunt you could very well inherit tenancy rights.
