The specific rules for nameplates in a society's lobby are determined by the society's bylaws, which are usually based on relevant state laws.
As a matter of fact, the society can refuse to allow the request of the member to add his brother's name in the owner's nameplate kept in the lobby because he is not the owner.
If multiple individuals own a flat, their names may be displayed together, often with the primary owner's name first.
If someone has an associate membership, their name may be added to the nameplate, usually after the primary owner's name, upon submitting the necessary application and fees.
If a member doesn't comply with the nameplate rules, the society may have mechanisms to address the issue, which could include issuing notices, imposing penalties, or other actions outlined in the bylaws.

No such Act / Rule / Bye-Laws do exist to display name of a non-member of the Society.
Is there any element of legal dispute/ problem in the topic ?
Time pass post...............

Actually one of society member force to put his brother name on name plate and we as a society don't know how to refuse or if it's legal then will allow to do that

It is a matter to be decided among the brothers. In the absence of any authority vested by a statute and the rules and regulations duly notified thereunder, the Society or its management is, to my understanding, is a stranger to the issue (if at all any).

What is the locus / concern / authority / entitlement of brother of such member to claim putting his name plate in the society?
