The Supreme Court today cancelled the bail of Hasan Ali in Black Money Case. The Bombay High Court had granted him bail in money laundering case. The Enforcement Directorate had challenged the High Court order in the Supreme Court contending that their strong prima facie evidence against the accused has been overlooked by the High Court. The Supreme Court, while issuing notices to Ali, had stayed the High Court order granting him bail. Ali is facing the allegations of stashing away huge amount of black money through money laundering channels in foreign secret bank accounts. He is also facing allegations of helping other income tax evaders including politicians, industrialist and bureaucrats. |
