Resignation from a psu bank

1.Can a PSU Bank decline the resignation  by a permanent Employee and if it does can the Employee challenge it in a Court of Law

2.Can the Bank start disciplinary  proceedings against him after he has submitted his resignation.

Dear rajesh,

Yes, before accepting your resignation as per the guidelines  of bank, management call foryour earlier reports from your earlier branch/offices where you have worked about 7-10 years() depending upon the guidelines.If they get clean reports,  then your resignation will be accepted with intimation. In case any irregularies observed/received  loss of amount to bank due to your negliance and any amount due to bank  voilating the norms of the bank while lending loans and  other matter Bank may not accept your resignation and give notice, why they are not accepting with the reasons. Only on completion of  full enquiries. and settlement of irregularities your resignation will be accepted after clearance of the charges made in the notice.

Management of bank has right to take action/recovery the amount even after accepting your resignation as per bank guidelines.

Please be careful before resigning. If you are a pension optee seek voluntary retirement otherwise your past service may be forfeited under  Pension Regulation.
