Recruitment

We won case against SSC in Jan2023. IT was upheld by high court in Feb 2024 in just one hearing. Today under contempt hearing Judge summoned Ssc chairman for 3rd time and Chairman sent the response "WE DON'T LIKE THE VERDICT AND WE WILL GO TO SUPREME COURT". Judge was so adamant to get him to court till yesterday but today perhaps he just caved. He deffered the hearing for 4 weeks. Everybody was surprised and we the petitioner became hopeless. It has been 2 years since verdict and yet we have not got our position. Judge was Manish Garg

Dear Sir,

This happened during contempt of CAT court proceedings only. Judge summoned Chairman 3 times  and when chairman clearly defied, the judge went soft and deferred the hearing for 1 month. Though in order he mentioned that "we vehemently oppose the conduct of SSC Chairman. We hoped for stricter action. It's already almost 2 years since CAT announced judgement

Contempt of court refers to any action or behavior that disrespects the authority of the court or interferes with its proceedings. The consequences of contempt of court can vary depending on the severity of the offense and the jurisdiction. Some possible outcomes include: 1. *Fine*: A monetary penalty imposed on the individual found in contempt. 2. *Imprisonment*: In some cases, contempt of court can lead to a jail sentence. 3. *Attorney sanctions*: If an attorney is found in contempt, they may face disciplinary action, such as suspension or disbarment. 4. *Civil or criminal penalties*: Depending on the nature of the contempt, the individual may face civil or criminal penalties, including damages or community service. 5. *Contempt of court order*: The court may issue an order outlining specific actions the individual must take to remedy the contempt. It's important to note that contempt of court can have serious consequences, and it's always best to consult with an attorney if you're facing a contempt charge.

As the high court has adjourned the matter by four week,s you may hve to wait for the next hearing , you cannot be so impaitent because it is already two years over hence waiting for one more month will not make any hige difference.

you can await the decision in the next date of hearing after which you can decide to pursue further course of legal action.
