Prprty distribtn betwn wife and dghter as indian Islamic law

Hi, My maternal grandfather expired a while back and my mother is his only child and we used to stay with my grandparents and look after them my granpa was the owner of the house. As per shariah law my mother gets 87.5% share in the house we stay in, I just want to know whether there is any way we can secure her inheritance as my grandmother would just rather give away the house just to spite my mom and rob her of her rightful inheritance. Please is there any way we can secure her share in the house?
