Property share

Hi,

I have 2 questions.

1. I live in North America. My mom passed away several years ago and have a house registered on her name. We are 2 children. Can my dad transfer the house on his name with out consulting me? I heard he did it recently. Is it possible?

2. My dad sold a plot  (registered on his name) with out consulting me. Is it possible? I heard children have to give "no objection" letter to sell it and buyer to register on his/her name.

In either the case, if my dad forge the "no objection" letter what are my rights to fight and what is the punishment if proved he forged (or a false document) to transfer the house on his name and/or in selling a plot?

Regards

I wasn't clear to some responders. Though I live in North America my questions to the experts on propertys in India through lawyersclubindia.com. "The cheap & abusive responders please don't waste your time". Thanks.
