Property registration for partnership firm

How does registration of new acquired immovable property by a Partnership Firm takes place? Please provide the whole procedure along with article links (if any)? As the Firm on it's own is not treated as separate legal entity, in whose name the property will be registered? Is it even necessary to register it's in the firm's name?
