Property registeration

I have bought a plot in uttar pradesh. I want to register it in my name only. I do not wish to include my husband's name as its co-owner. Is there any legal rule in uttar pradesh, under which I have to mandatorily include my husband as its co-owner ?

Not necessary to use your husbands name in property registration in UP or any where in India.

Thank you Sirs for your response. However, I want to add here, that the plot has been alloted to my under the draw organised by a UP government housing scheme. Is there any specific law in Uttar Pradesh in such a case, which mandates me to include my husband's name in property registeration ? I am being asked by concerned officials of the department to include my husband's name in the deed else the allotment to me will be cancelled.
