Power of attorney on vehicles

I am moving to abroad soon for 2 years. Meanwhile the bike in my name will be used by my father. I would like to provide him Power Of Attorney to avoid any issues in my absence in India. How to do this Power of Attorney ?. Do I need to visit a lawyer ?. Or I can print the content on the stamp paper and just sing it ?. Please advise. Thank you in advance

you should ideally gift him the bike and further get it registered in his name

You can go by the option suggested by Mr. Rit Arora.

Hi,

Thank you for your replies. The bike is very new. Since my father is above 60 he cannot get loan. So, I have taken the loan and the bike got registred in my name.Since, the bike is on loan I hope i cannot gift him unless i close the loan. So thought of providing POA until the loan gets closed. Please advise

Let your father buy it and clear the loan.
