Send a Reply to the Legal Notice sent to you, through your Advocate. Alternately try to resolve your matter through mediation.

1. Ask your friend to go to his police station and file a simple application to trace his wife mentioning the date she left home without his consent and informing him.

2. Ask your friend to send hand written money order of maintenance amount to wife's name at her address.

3. Ask your friend to write a single page letter to his wife asking her to come back. Send this open single page letter without envelop to her address as Regd. AD post.

4. Keep above two in safe place.

5. No need to reply to her lawyers notice. if she believes in her duties and wants to retain matrimony then she will come back. Otherwise ask your friend to prepare for civil cases.
