Physical shares given by grandmother in kind ..problem

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I want your help for few doubts which i have.

My Grandmother has 2 sons ,my dad and my uncle

My grandmother had given(in kind) her physical shares of a pvt Ltd company named XYZ to my dad and there is no writen proof,

My dad has transfered those shares to his name .

Now after her death my uncle claims that he wants XYZ to be divided between the two of them as there was no proof that it is given in kind. He thinks we have forcibly taken it? Anything legal that can happen

He gives us fear of going to court ?

If the shares are transfered in my fathers name.can he do anything legally for these shares?

Kindly help me plz

Since it is grand mother property shares, all the sons have to distribute equally when written document such as WILL etc. is not there.

The grandmother has not made any Will with regard to the said physical share hence upon her death, the same should be divided equally between her two sons.

Dear Sir,

My granny has 2 sons

Recently my Granny has passed away and my father is a joint holder in some securities(demat shares)and a nominee in some demat shares.

I understand after giving the death certificate my father becomes the owner alone.

What happens in a joint holder (2nd holder ) after the death of Primary holder?

Can my uncles ask for a share in any of the 2 cases legally?

Plz help to clear my doubt.

Awaiting your reply.

Regards,

Jigna
