Hi, I have been on short term assignment in UK for 3 months. During that period I got per Diem for my daily expenses. As per company policy, we need to submit the receipt for the amount we spent and rest of the amount become taxable. During that period I was unable to submit the receipts as a result the tax was deducted and submitted to the govt. though I have bills. My query is how I get the refund for that amount.
Can I claim my refund when I file my tax return this time? If yes, under which head and how ?
Or is there any other way I can get the refund.
