Discuss the issue(s) with concerned finanaciers.

However, there is no short cut to settle and make payment of dues/ agreed amount, which may be reduced by lender.

Key Rulings and Principles Ban on Forcible Repossession: In judgments such as Hari Dutta Sharma v. State of U.P. (2006/2026 rulings) and earlier precedents like ICICI Bank v. Prakash Kaur and ICICI Bank v. Shanti Devi Sharma, the Supreme Court condemned the use of "muscle men" or goons by lenders. Indian Kanoon +2 Violation of Fundamental Rights: Arbitrary or nighttime seizure of vehicles and harassment without following due process violate Articles 14 (equality before law) and 21 (right to life and livelihood) of the Constitution. Verdictum +1 Mandatory Legal Procedures: Lenders must follow procedures recognized by law—such as the SARFAESI Act or proper judicial recourse—rather than taking the law into their own hands. SCC Online +1 Enforcement by the RBI: The Supreme Court directed the Reserve Bank of India to ensure strict, genuine compliance with fair practice codes and recovery guidelines, noting that previous rules often remained ineffective on paper. Hindustan Times +1 Vicarious Liability: Financial institutions are held responsible for the unlawful conduct, harassment, and abusive tactics deployed by their hired recovery agents

The income-to-debt ratio makes full servicing through EMIs nearly impossible, and banks routinely refuse consolidation loans when risk profiles and credit utilization are this high.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) mandates strict guidelines regarding recovery practices. You have enforceable rights against aggressive recovery behavior. Email the Customer Service and Nodal Officer of each bank/NBFC. State that you are facing severe financial distress, request written communications via email, and explicitly forbid agents from visiting outside 8 AM–7 PM or making unannounced workplace visits.

Create a comprehensive sheet listing each credit card and personal loan with its exact principal, interest rate, and minimum payment.

Transfer your main salary account to a completely separate bank where you have zero loans or cards to prevent automated account freezes or auto-debits.

Why did you take all this loans?

1.   Your immediate priority should be to stop the debt from growing. Stop the use of credit card.

2.  Negotiate with the lenders in writing, request to reduce the amount of EMI and protect yourself from unlawful recovery practics.

3.  Money you save from reducing EMI must be used to reduce the lowest credit card loan principal amount and finish the one loan by this way.

4.  Stop unnecessary expenditure and make cost cutting in every expense you make if you want to come out of this painful burden.
