you have take relevant applications filled by him like pension, pf, grautity, if any clearance certificate

this process should be done before three months so that all the process will be completed before his retirement because if there is any discilipnar proceedings that should be completed

what is the nature of employment, whether employer is company or proprietor, whether any standing ordersare registered laying conditions of service including retirement age.

Sir, Thanks for the response. The Employee in reference is at Managerial Level, we are a company registed under the companies Act, As per the appointment letter issued to him, he will be retiring on attaining 58 years of age.

My only query is whether we need to provide notice to him, informing him of his impending retirement.

there is no harm in informing him.  You also have to start working for settlement of his dues in time. He has to fill form for efp withdrawal and eps scheme.
