Noise disturbance due to ground floor parking below the balcony.

There's a verandah kind of space outside my living/bedroom room in a ground floor flat where all members are parking their motor cycles.
i.e common area on ground floor below the balcony of first floor. Due to this , we have privacy concern and also there's lot of noise disturbance  every time a member pulls out or park the motor cycles multiple time in a day. Even though there's space available behind the building , society members are  parking in that area since it's easily accessible and convenient near to the main gate. This is an old building constructed back in 1980's with no designated parking  assigned in the plan. What's the best solution   in this case to avoid noise disturbance and maintain privacy.

Since it's a common area and there's no designated parking, you'll need to approach the society members and the managing committee. Here are a few suggestions:

- Talk to your neighbors and try to come up with a mutually beneficial solution, like designating a specific parking area away from your room. -

You could propose installing a physical barrier or a screen to block the noise and maintain some privacy.

- If that doesn't work, consider approaching the local municipal corporation or a lawyer for guidance on noise pollution and property rights. -

As a last resort, you could explore installing noise-reducing windows or earplugs 😅.

Try to have a calm conversation with your society members and see if you can come up with a solution that works for everyone. Good luck! 👍

Yes.  Please discuss with the members of the society amicably.  This is an old building and a common area; you cannot take legal action.

If your association is a registered body it can take appropriate action to provide proper parking space to all the members in a designated parking space or at least by the opinion and resolution passed in an EGM of the association, if it is not a registered body then you may have to discuss with members and arrive at an amicable decision.

The building is 45 years old, how come you are facing such problems after more than four decades?

Discuss the issue(s) with management / RWA and general body meeting.

If no action is taken by management/RWA or you are not satisfied with their action you may esclate before concerned authority / file a civil suit as the case may be.

The problem, if at all any, would there for a long time. Why the corcern now?
