I need a suggestion. I am a postgraduate working in software company. My dad is illeterate and my mom can read and write in my native language. I am from AP.
This is regarding a false case filed by one of our neighbour. some 2 years back he has laid drain water pipes under a cement road (road was laid by govt) and those drain water he is releasing infront of our house. Instead of laying the pipes till the end of the road, he has opened the pipes infront of our house and gradually he started releasging everything and we could not stay in the house. So we closed those pipes. Actually my neighbour does not have anything to do with the road infront of us. In villages, every house will have a specific road and drainage through which they can release the water. So my neighbour is suppoed to release water in different route. But he chose to release infront of our house.
Now after we closed this pipe, he filed a case in the court saying that we have broken the pipes (which we never did), and falsely telling that we abused him and told that we wanted to elimite him.
now my parents are more worried about that. I am in far away place. Police asked us to solve this in panchayat. My Parents are worried about this so much. They could not go for any work now. every day it became necessary that they should goto panchayat officer and meet him.
I want to know what the next step from the court? Will the court sned any notice to my parents? Will they arrest anybody in this regard? Will they put anybody in custody or like that. I am asking this because me or my parents are not away of these things.
Also, now we are worried about much, I want to file a defamation case or harrassment case against my neighbour, is this possible at all?
