Land acquisition by kiadba

Respected Madam/ sir, 

My father owned a agricultural land. Measuring 10acres 7 gunta. It was acquired by KIADB for industrial purpose in the year 1985. The case is not settled in the court. The land was given to industries for said purpose. Now the industry is closed. The part of land now given to educational institution to use. Can we entitled to get the land back.

kindly guide us.

In a judgement that could prevent the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) from acquiring land behind the back of landowners, the Karnataka High Court has declared that serving personal notice on the landowner is a mandatory procedure to be followed by the Board while acquiring land.
