I am a tenant of a cessed building in Mumbai which has gone in for redevelopment by MHADA. The building was demolished three years back, and is in the process of being redevelopment.
Though I am a tenant of the premises, I do not usually stay out there as the building was in a dilapadated condition and had kept the premises locked. MHADA did not issue me a vacation notice. Other tenants who were staying in the building were issued a vacation notice.
I subsequently contacted MHADA to issue me a vacation notice , but they are telling me that since the buildng is already been demolished they cannot issue a vacation notice.
I am seeking advice from attorneys who have experience dealing with MHADA, as to the importance of the vacation notice. How do I get the vacation notice? Is it a necessary document that I would need when get the possesion of the new reconstructed premises?
Thank you in advance
