A Hindu person can gift his self acquired property to any of his relatives and even to outsiders.  The Stamp duty to be paid is different between the family members (wife/husband, son, daughter, brother and sister) and other family members and outsiders.  And the stamp duty varies from one State to other State.  consult in local registrar office for stamp duty and fees etc., details.

Remember the first sentence in the reply:  All this only if the donor has acquired property exclusively in his own and not as a co-sharer
