Employee does not pay the agreed salary

I was retained by my employer in May 2015.

The agreement on mail was that my salary will be revised effective August 2015. The revised amount was communicated in the mail by HR with my company director in loop.

However, the amount in revised salary letter does not match the agreed amount.

Is there a way i can take any legal action against my employer.

yes you need to write a mail to the HR Dept. and the concerned seniors, directors about it and ask them to pay the difference. if they fail to do so then you may serve legal notice upon them through an advocate or write a complaint to the labour commissioner office.

You may certainly ask the HR to explain with Director in the loop in writing under proepr acknowledgment with a copy to you.

However check if the statutory deductions like PF,ESIC,TDS etc are causing the dfifference.

You may come back once you have the reply of HR/Director.
