I filled DP3 with Police and asked status in RTI for my complaint.
They replied saying they cannt take DP3 on aggrived persons citing DP7(iii) It means even there is Clause Giving also crime but Giver will not be charged.
so they have immunity, even Law says giving Dowry also crime.
This immunity, however, is inadequate and does not specifically cover the parents or relatives / witness of the bride. Further, there is no definition of the term “person aggrieved” under the Act.
so who is Aggrived person ?
in my case they nowhere said i demanded Dowry, before or at the time of marriage but they say they gave Dowry so they committed cognizable offence 1st, but its FIR statement only so far no trial started for last 12 years, nor none of them came to court; or nor any Evidence was given.
still can be they Aggrived person, or me as crime was committed by them 1st
